How to check robot vacuum part compatibility evidence

A compatibility record applies to a particular robot model and part within the evidence's stated scope. Before ordering, check the exact model, the item you are buying, its market and any conditions. Unknown confirms neither compatibility nor incompatibility.

Five checks before you order

  1. Identify the exact robot. Use the full model name and model number from your unit. Plus, Pro, Max and generation labels can identify different models; a similar name does not establish a fit.
  2. Identify the exact part. Follow the record for the specific item. A filter, brush, dock component and accessory kit are different items. Evidence for one component does not confirm a whole kit.
  3. Read the market and conditions. Keep the source's regional scope. Read any stated purchase-date, revision or other condition as written. If the record does not state a market or condition, do not supply one yourself.
  4. Separate the result from the evidence level. The compatibility result and its confidence describe different things. A manufacturer listing and corroborating retailer listings are different evidence sources; neither means CompatRef physically tested the part.
  5. Open the original evidence. Check whether it names the exact model and item, the scope it covers and when the record was checked. Use the linked model and part pages to read the full record before relying on the result.

Example: reading US and UK filter records

CompatRef lists separate US and UK filter records for the Dreame L10s Ultra Gen 2. The two regional manufacturer listings each name this model. That does not, by itself, establish whether the regional items are interchangeable.

Read each regional record on its own. Separate names or recorded identifiers do not prove that two products are either interchangeable or incompatible. These records also do not establish compatibility for a different model, item or market.

Questions

Does Unknown mean a part will not fit?

No. Unknown means the available record does not confirm fit or non-fit. A missing record is also not proof of incompatibility.

Can I apply a US listing to a UK purchase?

Do not extend a source beyond its stated scope. Check the relevant regional listing and exact item; the example above does not establish regional interchangeability.

Does one compatible component confirm an accessory kit?

No. Check each item and the kit's own evidence. A claim about one brush or filter does not confirm every component in a bundle.
